Vaginal rings
• Steroidal hormone (s) are
dispersed in silicon elastomer and
the mixture is shaped into rings
by injection moulding.
• Flexible rings are inserted in the
vagina for controlled drug release
for contraception or hormonal
replacement therapy.
• Release duration: 3 weeks -3
months depending on the design.
