Transdermal drug delivery systems (TDDs)
Passive delivery:
Passive TTDS is a device that releases the drug to the skin
at a controlled rate, well below the maximum the tissue
can accept.
Active delivery:
An active TDDS uses an energy source such as eletricity or
ultrasound for enhanced drug penetration.
