Uses:
The leaf used as diuretic and urinary antiseptic ( due to
hydroquinone).
Uses of Arbutin
Arbutin is considered as the secret weapon for skin
depigmentation (skin whitening). Arbutin Applied topically, it
inhibits tyrosinase and thus prevents the formation of melanin.
Arbutin is a skin-brightening ingredient that targets dark spots,
hyperpigmentation, and scars.
Alpha Arbutin vs Beta Arbutin
• There are two forms of arbutin found in skincare. They have
the same chemical structure but different rotational
configurations which gives them slightly different effects
on melanin production.
