Hydrolysis of Sinigrin gives allylisothiocyanate (volatile oil of mustard),
glucose, as well as potassium acid sulphate,
Uses : sinigrin have revealed anti-cancer, antibacterial, antifungal,
antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, wound healing properties
Also used as Rubefacient and Counter irritant.

Sinapine
Hydrolysis of the glycoside sinalbin on the other hand gives:
Acrinylisothiocyanate (phenolic isothiocyanate,pungent tast),
glucose and the acid sulphate of a quaternary alkaloid, named Sinapine
Cation.
Uses : Rubefacient and Counter irritant due to their contents of
thioglycosides.
