Source: Broccoli
Broccoli protect humans against cancer since they are rich sources of
glucosinolates as well as possessing a high content of flavonoids,
vitamins and mineral nutrients.

The enzyme myrosinase transforms glucoraphanin into
Sulforaphane

 Sulforaphane (SFN), an isothiocyanate derived from
glucoraphanin, has antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects
that may be beneficial for improving liver function.

 Sulforaphane was shown to potentiate a range of other
anticancer agents against cervical cancer, bladder tumor, lung
cancer, salivary gland carcinoma, and melanoma.

                      V- Flavonoidal Glycosides

Flavonoids (from the Latin word flavus meaning yellow,
their color in nature). Chemically, flavonoids have the general structure of

a 15-carbon skeleton, This carbon structure can be abbreviated C6-C3-C6
they can be classified into:

                                                      58
