             Mystical prayers are done by Sadhus and heretics to enable the person praying to

             gain a direct experience of the Higher Power.


             Ritual prayers are written in precise words and languages. There are ritualistic

             prayers in Hinduism and were used by Romans. Common people are unable to do or
             understand these prayers. Ritual prayers with sacrifices were often envisioned as

             legal bargains between deity and worshipper. The Roman formula was "I give, so
             that you may give in return."
