Welcome to Villa Vermonte

Welcome to Villa Vermonte. We hope you will enjoy staying in this lovely property, a
privately owned villa which was constructed in 2002. The owners, working with a local
Portuguese architect, planned this classical style property as an ideal holiday home so
you should find its layout, facilities and comprehensive equipment all you need for a
perfect relaxing and trouble-free holiday. If there is anything you feel is missing in the
equipment provided, please ask the management company and they will do their best to
provide it. This manual contains lots of useful information to assist you with settling into
the villa. Please take time to read it carefully and we thank you in
advance for ensuring that the manual remains in the villa at all times.

We would be most grateful if you complete our Guest Questionnaire at
the end of your stay as it greatly assists us to maintain the quality
standards and to go on improving our guest’s experience of staying in
Villa Vermonte. We hope, seeing the care and attention that has been
lavished on the villa, you will treat this property with the same respect
as your own home and that we will be pleased to welcome you back
for a subsequent visit.

Quinta do Lago was founded in 1972 by the Brazilian entrepreneur
Andre Jordan. His aim was to create a first class residential and holiday
resort. Over the past 40 years, Quinta do Lago has developed into one
of the most prestigious and exclusive developments in Europe. Quinta
do Lago maintains its natural surroundings, in keeping with the Rio Formosa Nature
Reserve, which it borders, yet still offers unrivalled sports and recreational facilities. With
the opening of the Lanranjal golf course in 2009, Quinta do Lago now has a total of 6 golf
courses making it one of the largest golf complexes in Europe. Whether you play golf or
not it is this that has helped create the low density, environmentally sensitive
development we can all now enjoy.

You will find full details of all the sports and recreational facilities in this manual, along
with a guide to all the wildlife in a brochure in the letter rack on the desk in the lounge.
We have also provided you with our own Guide to Quinta do Lago.

The Unique magazines you will find on the hall table also gives you an
overview of Quinta do Lago, its facilities and its philosophy of
preserving the environment.

In the villa itself we have aimed to provide comprehensive information,
indexed at the beginning of this manual, to help you quickly settle in to
your holiday without the initial frustrations an unfamiliar property can
create. In the library there is a large selection of books, music CD’s and
films on DVD’s including many of the latest releases. We also offer HD
(high definition) cable television, with over 140 channels including all the BBC, BT and
Sky Sports channels, and free high speed broadband internet access through the touch
screen computer on the desk in the lounge or wi-fi to your own phone or tablet.

Whilst all of the rooms on the ground and first floor are available for your use there are a
few in the basement which are reserved for the owners and the management company.
These are the wine cellar (sorry!), the maid’s room and two storage rooms for the
owner’s personal possessions but we are sure this will not detract from the enjoyment of
you holiday.
