2.2.1 Facial Expressions ) هجولا تا يبعت (
Facial expressions are considered one of the most important components of nonverbal
communication because they can quickly convey emotions and attitudes without the use of
words. The human face contains many muscles that allow individuals to express a wide range of
emotions such as happiness, surprise, anger, or concern.
In presentations, facial expressions play a significant role in making the speaker more engaging
and persuasive. For example, a genuine smile can create a friendly atmosphere and build rapport
with the audience, while a serious expression may indicate the importance of the topic being
discussed. On the other hand, negative expressions such as frowning or appearing tense may give
the audience an unfavorable impression and reduce the effectiveness of the message.
Appropriate facial expressions also help reinforce spoken words and add emotional depth to the
presentation. When a speaker’s facial expressions match the tone of the message, it makes the
presentation more natural and convincing for the audience.
