Cross-Validation Rules
Rules that define valid combinations of segment values a user can enter in the accounting
Flexfield. Cross-validation rules restrict users from entering invalid combinations of account
segment values.
Current Assets
Those assets that can be converted to cash within a relatively short period of time, usually
one year. Equals the sum of cash and cash equivalents, accounts receivable, inventory,
marketable securities, prepaid expenses, and other assets that could be converted to cash
in less than one year.
Current Liabilities
The sum of all money owed by a company and due within one year. Also called payables or
current debt.
Current Ratio
An indication of a company's ability to meet short-term debt obligations. Current ratio is
equal to current assets divided by current liabilities. If the current assets of a company are
more than twice the current liabilities, then that company is generally considered to have
good short-term financial strength.
