Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
System used to manage laboratory processes and data collection.
Large Scale Manufacturing (LSM)
Manufacturing facility with the capability of producing large amounts of product.
Last Patient In (LPI)
Date on which the last patient is enrolled to a trial.
Last Patient Last Visit (LPLV)
Date on which the last patient has their last protocol-scheduled visit.
Last Patient Out (LPO)
Date on which the last patient has their last protocol-scheduled visit.
Learning Management System (LMS)
A software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, and
delivery of learning and training.
Letter of Credit (LOC)
A letter from a bank guaranteeing that a buyer's payment to a seller will be received on time
and for the correct amount
Liability
An obligation that legally binds an individual or company to settle a debt. In a company, a
liability is recorded on the balance sheet and can include accounts payable, taxes, wages,
accrued expenses, and deferred revenues.

Process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product
