four focus questions (what do we know about the problem?, what do we
need to learn to solve the problem?, how can we have sources of
knowledge?, and hypothesis on problem solving), the students read and
discussed the problem and developed a possible solution of the problem by
using existing knowledge, hypotheses were identified using brain storming
and students planned their research strategy, groups were asked to fill in
their worksheet, decide on their research plan and distribution of tasks
and to gather together outside the classroom to share the data they
obtained individually or as a group, and the tutor aroused the interest of
the students to guide the group work, (3) working process outside the
classroom and discussed what they had learned during independent study
process in their groups and under the direction of their group leader,
shared their information and knowledge acquired from various resources in
the classroom, (4) the students reported on what they had achieved and
presentation to the classrooms, dan (5) the tutor then gave explanations
of the solution of the problem scenarios and answered the students‟
questions on the problem scenario.
Model problem-based learning dimulai oleh adanya masalah yang
dapat dimunculkan oleh siswa atau guru dan selanjutnya siswa
memperdalam pengetahuannya tentang apa yang mereka telah ketahui dan
apa yang mereka perlu ketahui untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut. Peran
guru adalah sebagai fasilitator untuk mengarahkan siswa tentang konsep
