Discharge Distance:
You cannot discharge a firearm within 500 feet of any school, playground, occupied factory or
church, dwelling, farm building, or structure unless you own it, lease it, are an immediate member
of the family, an employee, or have the owner's consent.
Definitions:
Firearm: all guns, including handguns, rifles, shotguns, muzzleloaders, BB and pellet guns.

New York Penal Code § 120.20: Reckless endangerment in the second degree
A person is guilty of reckless endangerment in the second degree when he recklessly engages
in conduct which creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person.
