The Plymouth Regional High School community joined forces on Feb. 11 to raise money for Spe- cial Olympics New Hampshire, with a portion of their fundrais- ing efforts supporting their own Unified Sports programs, which sees students of all abilities come together in the name of teamwork and sportsmanship in both basket- ball and soccer.
Each year SONH reaches out to adults and high school students, asking them join in the Penguin Plunge, an icy dip into the Atlan- tic Ocean to raise money for their athletic programs and annual Spe- cial Olympics competitions. Due to the COVID virus, the event has become a virtual one over the past

Time for Voters to March to the Polls as Town Meeting Day Approaches
By Donna RhoDes
March is known for a few things in New Hampshire, such as St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, maple sap gathering, frost heave season, and the hopeful antic- ipation for spring. But, more importantly, it is also when res- idents cast their votes on issues such as town officials, the up- coming operating budgets, and other matters that can affect taxes in the coming year or even beyond.
Alexandria is one of several new SB2 communities, which rather than holding a traditional New Hampshire town meeting, now cast their votes on candi- dates and the Town Warrant all at once on Town Meeting Day. As a result, this year, they have no contested races for town of- fices, committees, and boards; however, several incumbents seek another term in their re- spective positions.
Selectman Robert Piehler is asking to serve another three- year term on the board, as does Budget Committee member Cindy Williams. In addition, both David Lheureux and Merry Ruggirello would like another term on the Planning Board, while Melanie Marzola would like to retain her position as Town Treasurer and George
Whittaker also hopes to win an- other six-year term as Supervi- sor of the Checklist.
Sue Hunt is running once- more for both Cemetery Trustee and Trustee of the Trust Fund. In addition, deputy Town Mod- erator Vincenzo Governati looks to fill the next term as Moder- ator, which is being opened up again this year. Voting in Alex-
andria for both candidates and the Town Warrant, as put forth at the First Deliberative Session in February, will be held from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, 45 Washburn Rd.
Bridgewater voters will see candidates also seeking uncon- tested reelection. Paul Wesley
