Favorite Part about UCSD Med Peds I felt instantly comfortable around the residents here;
people who are very easy-going and fun but also
passionate and driven. Every day at work is SO much fun,
I’m constantly laughing in the workroom, taking my
team for afternoon coffee & ice cream rounds or going
on wellness walks outside during long wards days.
Everyone from my co-residents to the leadership have
been very supportive during tough stretches and the
patient population is truly the best, from the four
hospitals we rotate at to my continuity clinic in El Cajon, I
feel like I see it all! And who doesn’t want to live in San
Diego?! Literally front porch reading weather all year
long.
Favorite Med Peds Moment There was one med/peds monthly meeting I missed due
to being on VICU long call, and my entire class drove
over to my house afterwards (including Willow
mentioned above) and had tea with me so I wouldn’t
miss out on bonding time. Med-Peds is the best.
