• The majority of graduates practicing primary care are in underserved areas
practicing at FQHC or IHS sites.
• There is a trend towards fellowship training and hospital medicine over the past
4-5 years.
• Although ALL PGY-4 Med/Peds residents serve as Med/Peds Chief Residents,

we have also had graduates selected to serve as 5 year categorical chiefs as
they have proven to be an incredibly valued part of the leadership team.
• A majority of our graduates remain involved in academics either as career faculty
at an academic institution or as volunteer teaching faculty precepting residents
and medical students.
