The Unity of Believers
I appeal to you, brothers... that all of you agree with one an-
other so that there may be no divisions among you and that
you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. (1
Corinthians, 1:10)
But instead, one brother goes to law against another—and this
in front of unbelievers! The very fact that you have lawsuits
among you means you have been completely defeated al-
ready. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheat-
ed? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do
this to your brothers. (1 Corinthians, 6:6-8)
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor fe-
male, for you are all one in [your devotion to] Christ Jesus
[for God's good pleasure]. (Galatians, 3:28)
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit
of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as
you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews, 10:25)
... Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy
of the Gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or
only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand
firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the
Gospel without being frightened in any way by those who
oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed,
but that you will be saved—and that by God [the law of God].
