Pleasant Words from the Gospel

And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to
everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil ... (2 Timothy,
                   2:24)

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteous-
ness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. (1 Timo-
                   thy, 6:11)

And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was
                   promised. (Hebrews, 6:15)

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one
                   another in love. (Ephesians, 4:2)

... And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, en-
courage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always
try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. (1 Thessalo-
                   nians, 5:14-15)

... Being strengthened with all power according to His [God's]
glorious might so that you may have great endurance and pa-
                   tience, and joyfully. (Colossians, 1:11)

... so that through them you may participate in the divine na-
ture and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil de-

sires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your
faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowl-
edge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to
                   perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these quali-
ties in increasing measure, they will keep you from being inef-
fective and unproductive in your knowledge of... Jesus Christ...
                   (2 Peter, 1:4-8)
