               (saas), even though he faced death threats from the un be liev -
               ers and lived among hyp o crites, con tin ued to pro claim Islam
               and tried to guide them to the right path. Prominent un be liev -
               ers set traps and tried to kill him. One of the Lord's great est
               mir a cles was that our dear Prophet (saas) was not harmed dur -
               ing these years, for:

                    Allah will pro tect you from peo ple. Allah does not guide the
                    un be liev ers. (Surat al-Ma’ida: 67)
                    This prom ise of Allah was ful filled by many mir a cles, one
               of them be ing that all un be liev ers, ido la ters, and hyp o crites,
               not to men tion his oth er en e mies, could not harm him. Their
               plots and traps were al ways foiled. And, even though the ido -

               la ters and un be liev ers of ten met him on the bat tle field, our
               Lord al ways pro tect ed him so that he could ful fil his mis sion.
               His en e mies nev er de feat ed him. On the con tra ry, they be came
               vile and des pi ca ble while he be came more phys i cal ly strong
               and healthy, more joy ful, and more filled with light and beau -
               ty. Allah pro tect ed our Prophet (saas) with His mer cy and gave
               him great pow er and maj es ty, both phys i cal ly and spir it u al ly.
               The de cep tions of the un be liev ers and the hyp o crites were
               turned back up on them, and our Prophet (saas) con tin ued his

               strug gle safe ly un der the pro tec tion of Allah's mer cy.

                    Our Prophet's (saas) call to jus tice and truth caused those
               who ben e fit ed from in jus tice and op pres sion, along with those

               who feared los ing their po si tion and rank, to op pose him and
                his fol low ers in or der to re tain the val ue of their world ly ac -
