The Miracles of our Prophet (saas)





                 jus tice and truth, as Allah tells in the Qur'an, con sist ed of mak -
                 ing ground less ac cu sa tions: "They say: 'You, to whom the
                 Reminder has been sent down, are clear ly cra zy. Why do you
                 not bring an gels to us if you are tell ing the truth?'" (Surat al-
                 Hijr: 6-7). Although sub ject ed to many oth er forms of abuse, he
                 con tin ued his bat tle of ideas with the un be liev ers and pro -
                 claimed the Qur'an's mor al teach ings. But these truths on ly

                 pro duced re sent ment and an ger, for the ma jor i ty of his peo ple
                 op posed him. Shortly aft er wards, he was forced to move from
                 Mecca to Madinah.
                     While he was among a dan ger ous and pa gan peo ple, our
                 Prophet (saas) pro claimed Islam, taught those who fol lowed
                 him, and en gaged in a dif fi cult strug gle. From time to time, this
                 turned in to open war fare. At that time, some of the Jews per -

                 sist ed in their re bel lious and hos tile at ti tude to ward our
                 Prophet (saas). But he took an in ter est in them too. Some of the
                 Christians al so tried to make things dif fi cult for our Prophet
                 (saas) and set traps to harm him.
                     While our Prophet (saas) was en gaged in this strug gle, the
                 hyp o crites were busy pro vid ing the un be liev ers with in for ma -
                 tion that could be used in their se cret cam paign against him.
                 Out of en vy they nur tured their re sent ment and an ger. They
                 showed their in sin cer i ty by ap proach ing our Prophet (saas)

                 and talk ing with him, de spite their re sent ment. Other un be liev -
                 ers lis tened to his words and sought to place dif fi cul ties in his
                 way:
                     The un be liev ers all but strike you down with their evil
                     looks when they hear the Reminder and say: "He is quite
                     cra zy." (Surat al-Qalam: 51)
