                Blessed is the man who does not walk in the coun sel of the
                wick ed or stand in the way of sin ners or sit in the seat of

                mock ers. But his de light is in the law of the Lord, and on His
                law he med i tates day and night. (Psalms, 1:1-2)

                Then Hannah prayed and said: "My heart re joic es in the
                Lord; in the Lord my horn is lift ed high. My mouth boasts
                over my en e mies, for I de light in Your de liv er ance. There is
                no one ho ly like the Lord; there is no one be sides You; there is
                no strength like our God." (1 Samuel, 2:1-2)

                ... for I de light in Your com mands be cause I love them. I lift
                up my hands to Your com mands, which I love, and I med i tate

                on your de crees. (Psalms, 119:47-48)

                Trouble and dis tress have come up on me, but Your com -
                mands are my de light. Your stat utes are for ev er right; give
                me un der stand ing that I may live. (Psalms, 119:143-144)

                Great peace have they who love Your law, and noth ing can

                make them stum ble. I wait for Your sal va tion, O Lord, and I
                fol low Your com mands. I obey Your stat utes, for I love them
                great ly. (Psalms, 119:165-167)

                The law of the Lord is per fect, re viv ing the soul. The stat utes
                of the Lord are trust wor thy, mak ing wise the sim ple. The pre -
                cepts of the Lord are right, giv ing joy to the heart. The com -
                mands of the Lord are ra di ant, giv ing light to the eyes. The
                fear of the Lord is pure, en dur ing for ev er. The or di nan ces of
                the Lord are sure and al to geth er right eous. They are more
                pre cious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweet er
                than hon ey, than hon ey from the comb. (Psalms, 19:7-10)
