WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH
Great are the works of the Lord; they are pon dered by all who
de light in them. (Psalms, 111:2)
Though rul ers sit to geth er and slan der me, Your ser vant will
med i tate on Your de crees. Your stat utes are my de light; they
are my coun sel ors. (Psalms, 119:23-24)
Teach me, O Lord, to fol low Your de crees; then I will keep
them to the end. Give me un der stand ing, and I will keep Your
law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of
Your com mands, for there I find de light. (Psalms, 119:33-35)
May Your un fail ing love be my com fort, ac cord ing to Your
prom ise to Your ser vant. Let Your com pas sion come to me
that I may live, for Your law is my de light. (Psalms, 119:76-77)
But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find
Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all
your soul. (Deuteronomy, 4:29)
Then I was... at His side. I was filled with de light day aft er
day, re joic ing al ways in His pres ence, re joic ing in His whole
world and de light ing in man kind. (Proverbs, 8:30-31)
If Your law had not been my de light, I would have per ish ed
in my af flic tion. I will nev er for get Your pre cepts, for by them
You have pre served my life. (Psalms, 119:92-93)
May my lips over flow with praise, for You teach me Your de -
crees. May my tongue sing of Your word, for all Your com -
mands are right eous... I long for Your sal va tion, O Lord, and
Your law is my de light. Let me live that I may praise You, and
may Your laws sus tain me. (Psalms, 119:171-175)
