WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH

                                    The Day of Judgment

Multitudes, mul ti tudes in the val ley of de ci sion! For the day
of the Lord is near in the val ley of de ci sion. (Joel, 3:14)

"O pro fane [those who do not obey the laws of God}... whose
day has come, whose time of pun ish ment has reached its cli -
max..." this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ... It will not be as
it was: The lowly will be exalted and the exalted will be bro-

                     ught low. (Ezekiel, 21:25-26)

The day of the Lord is near for all na tions. As you have done,
it will be done to you; your deeds will re turn up on your own
                     head. (Obadiah, 1:15)

Not so the wick ed! They are like chaff that the wind blows

away. Therefore the wick ed will not stand in the judg ment,
nor sin ners in the as sem bly of the right eous. For the Lord
watch es over the way of the right eous, but the way of the
wick ed will per ish. (Psalms, 1:4-6)

The Lord is known by His jus tice; the wick ed are en snared
by the work of their hands. The wick ed re turn to the under-
world [hell], all the na tions that for get God. (Psalms, 9:16-17)

Tell the right eous it will be well with them, for they will en -
joy the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wick ed! Disaster is up -

on them! They will be paid back for what their hands have
                     done. (Isaiah, 3:10-11)

... whose day has come, whose time of pun ish ment has
reached its cli max. (Ezekiel, 21:29)
