FOREWORD

Welcome to the Guidance and Counseling Section of Ifugao State University (IFSU).

A Guidance Manual is being crafted as a reference guide for the center’s operations toward the
realization of its vision-mission as it gives full support to the University’s philosophy of producing
individuals with moral responsibilities who will take the lead towards improved quality of life.

It provides information regarding policies, office operation procedures and descriptions of the
center’s physical resources and the guidance program as well.

Moreover, it is being designed to serve the following core purposes:

1. To facilitate the achievement of the University’s vision, mission, goals and objectives as
through effective implementation of the guidance program and activities;
2. To serve as a handy reference to guide office personnel; and
3. To serve as a handy reference to assure stable and smooth operation of the office.

It is hoped that the contents of this manual will be supplemented in the coming years with other
relevant guidance services and activities towards improved quality of service. Some contents of the
Guidance Manual needs to be regularly updated; hence, the need for regular revisions is highly
encouraged.
