Type 1(b) Shiftweave Pan Chang Knot
This modified shiftweave pan chang knot has a 90-degree shift, with the central weave
formed using the pull two, wrap two technique.
TYING INSTRUCTIONS
The arrangement of the ear loops is the same as for the normal pan chang knot.
Step 1. Fold and arrange ear loop 1 at a 90-degree angle. Step 2. Pull ear loop 2
through 1. Step 3. Pull ear loop 3 through 2, shift it 90 degrees and pull through 1.
Step 4. Pull ear loop 4 through 2 and 3. Step 5. Wrap ear loop 5 around 1 and 2.
Step 6. Wrap ear loop 6 around 3, shift it 90 degrees, wrap around 1, pull through 3
and wrap around 5. Step 7. Pull ear loop 7 through 4 and wrap around 6 and 5.
Step 8. Pull ear loop 8 through 4, wrap around 1, shift it 90 degrees, wrap around 6,
pull through 3 and 1 and wrap around 7.
