Type 2(a) Shiftweave Pan Chang Knot
This modified pan chang knot has a 180-degree shift, with the central weave formed
using the wrap one, pull one technique.
TYING INSTRUCTIONS
The arrangement of the ear loops is the same as for the normal pan chang knot.
Step 1. Fold and arrange ear loop 1 at a 180-degree angle. Step 2. Ear loop 2 follows
the same angle. Step 3. Pull ear loop 3 through 2, wrap around 1, shift it 180 degrees,
pull through 1 and wrap around 2. Step 4. Pull ear loop 4 through 2. Step 5. Wrap ear
loop 5 around 1, pull through 1 and wrap around 2. Step 6. Pull ear loop 6 through
3, shift it 180 degrees, wrap around 1 and 3 and pull through 1. Step 7. Pull ear loop
7 through 4, wrap around 6, pull through 6 and wrap around 5. Step 8. Pull ear loop
8 through 4, wrap around 3, pull through 1, shift it 180 degress, wrap around 6, pull
through 3, wrap around 1, pull through 6 and wrap around 4.
