                Answer the questions:
             1. What did Benjamin Franklin write about in his autobiography?
             2. When did he wake up?
             3. How did Franklin start his day?
             4. What did the American founding father do in the evening?
             5. When was he best geared toward reflection?
American founding father (основоположник Америки), inventor
(изобретатель) and writer Benjamin Franklin wrote about personal
development (личном развитии) long before Tony Robbins or Jim Rohn. In
his autobiography, Franklin described how he got maximum value
(максимальную ценность) from a regular working day. Like our favourite
Navy seal, Franklin rose about 05.00 a.m. and worked on what he valued most
first thing. Typically, he started each day by asking himself, “What good shall
I do this day?”. Then Franklin attended (приступал к) to his business before
starting work. He spent his afternoons reading, looking over (просматривая)
his accounts (счета) and dining. In the late evening Franklin put things back
(складывал вещи на место) where they belonged and reviewed
(проанализировал) how his day went. He also reflected on (размышлял над)
his accomplishments (достижениями) or failures (неудачами). In other
words, Franklin understood when he had the energy for attending (для того,
чтобы браться) difficult tasks (morning), when he was suited to
administrative tasks (afternoon) and when his mind was geared toward
reflection (был готов к размышлениям) (before and after sleeping).
Exercise 194. Put the verbs into the correct column.
