• Ask them about their business - if they are
sponsors of other things in the community,
acknowledge this. If not, ask them if they are or
if they have thought about doing something for
community groups.
• Regional Leader Elevator Pitch – this is the prime
opportunity to put it into practice when talking
with them about who Dairy Women’s Network
is, what we do, and what you do in your Regional
Leader role.
• Being a Regional Leader - tell them about your
volunteer role and what it has given you.
• Background of Dairy Women’s Network -
our role in the industry and in delivering the
Dairy Tomorrow Strategy, our partners, the
workshops and opportunities we provide for
members.
• Previous events your team has run – tell them
about workshops and regional events that you
have run in the region, how many people come
along, the importance of the connections off-
farm and examples of great feedback from
attendees.
• The event you are planning – event description,
learning outcomes (if applicable), guest speakers
or presenters, date, times, location, what
opportunities are available for them to sponsor
e.g. venue or catering – ensure you have costings if
they ask for them.
