MEXICO DOWN UNDER

Mexico Represented at the 2019 National Multicultural Festival

On Sunday, February 17 2019, the Embassy of Mexico participated, alongside with the other 14
Latin American embassies represented in Australia, at the 2019 National Multicultural Festival in
Canberra. The festival, the biggest of its kind in the country, attracts every year over 250 thousand
people, who come together to celebrate and enjoy the sights, music, food and cultural
manifestations of the different nationalities represented in Australia.

At its stand, the Embassy provided cultural, travel and gastronomic information, along with fun
activities and free tequila samples for our older visitors. Mole, beans and candies were also part
of our giveaways, thanks to the generosity of our premium sponsor, Fireworks Mexican Foods.
Together with the other Latin American Embassies, Mexico donated some small prizes that were
awarded through a raffle and other engaging dynamics. Thank you to all our visitors and
congratulations to our winners! We look forward to be part of the Multicultural Festival again in
2020.
