Expert navigator check: Just after that left hand turn you’ll rattle across a cattle stop – a rack of
iron rails in the roadway that stops stock from wandering.

3.8 mi 50.5943,-3.9114 In Postbridge. Great photo op of the
ancient clapper bridge here (pictured). Built in the 13th century. It
stands just downstream from the “new” bridge, built in1780s. Take a
shot of the old from the “new”. Clapper bridges are constructed of
huge stone slabs carried on stone pillars. These are over 4m long
and 2m wide, weighting 8 tons each.

As you cross the roof of Dartmoor you get a magnificent view of the
                                        Devon countryside.

        Museum might be of interest.

As you approach Exeter you’ll pass underneath the A30. You’ll cross the River Exe and just follow
        the signs to the city.

You’ll pass under a footbridge (not the big overbridge just after crossing the river) and shortly after
come up to a large r/bout.

Turn left at the r/bout for the Cathedral and Guildhall Parking.

When you reach the No Entry signs at the one-way section of the street, turn left into Market St.

Follow Market St around turning right.

At the T i/s with Fore St do a quick right and left turn into Mary Arches St. GPS 50.7225,-3.5347.

Mary Arches Carpark will be on your right.

At the T i/s at the end of Mary Arches St turn r. on to Bartholomew St E. The Guildhall Shopping
Centre and Carpark is a bit further along on the right.

Either of these carparks are good for access to the Cathedral.
