        with rhododendrons, magnolias, and formal lawns. You can explore winding paths, climb an
        extinct volcano, discover an Iron Age hill fort and take in distant views towards Dartmoor.

        1: Up the A38 – the fast way.

        Route 4 on the map.

        44.6 miles / about 1 hour.


        Find your way to to the A374, the road out of town following signs to “Exeter A38”.


        As you approach the i/s with the A38 at a r/bout on the eastern edge of town watch the road
        surface signs to get in to the correct lane for Exeter.


        0.0 mi 50.3914, -4.0860 At the roundabout take the 3rd exit left following signs to “Exeter A38 /
        Paignton (A385)”.


        That puts you on the A38 motorway.
