This journey will take you from Cambridge to Bury St Edmunds and on to the countryside that
painter John Constable made famous.
Starting in Cambridge
The A603 and A1134 form a ring road around the town. Use that ring road to make your way to
the roundabout where the A1134 and the A603 meet on the western side of town. Just follow any
signs that say “Newmarket / Huntington / Ely”.
You are aiming to get on to the A14 (E).
0.0 mi 52.2085, 0.1381 From the r/bout take the exit s/posted “Ring Road / Newmarket (A1303) /
Haverhill (1307)” on to Newmarket Rd, the A1134.
Navigation tip: As you make that turn look for the brown Cambridge Property Exchange building
on the right.
3.8 mi 52.2137, 0.2156 At the r/bout take the 3rd exit on to the A14 s/p “Bury St Eds A14 /
Norwich (A11)”.
