Oxford to Winchester

This journey will take you first to Winchester then, if you wish, on to Salisbury. In so doing
you will see two of Britain’s most famous cathedrals, Winchester and Salisbury. From
Salisbury you can explore ancient monuments like the mysterious Stonehenge.
To Winchester is a distance of 56.1 miles, about 1h 20m travel time. Winchester to Salisbury 25
miles, about 40 minutes.

The Eastern By-Pass Road / the Southern By-Pass Road/ A40 / A34 together form a ring road
around the outskirts of the town.
Make your way to that ring road and follow it to its south west corner where the Southern By-Pass
connects with the A34.
If you are coming off the Southern By-Pas you’ll take the 1st exit from the r/bout s/p “M4 / Newbury
/ Abingdon”
If you are already travelling south on the A34, continue str. ahd following a sign to “Newbury A34”.
