Navigation notes
Route 1 on the map
Starting from the M25 it’s a trip of 64 miles, about a bit over an hour in normal traffic conditions.
You take the M3 to just past Basingstoke and the A303 to Stonehenge.
GETTING OUT OF LONDON
There’s no easy way to escape the great urban sprawl that is London.
From the north side of London:
Make your way to the M25, the great ring road that encircles the city, and head west to
Intersection 12 with the M3.
From Central London and Heathrow
Coming from somewhere near central London, find the A4 before merging on to the M4 following a
gantry sign to “The WEST / Heathrow / Staines / Hounslow”.
You might also be on the M4 if you are coming from the Heathrow area.
