                                           Peanut Butter Roll Candy




                              1 pound confectioners sugar (plus some to adjust if too wet)

                                                  1 stick softened butter

                                                     1 teaspoon vanilla

                                                        Pinch of salt

                                                1/4 cup milk (approximate)

                                                       Peanut butter



                    1.  Sift confectioners sugar into bowl.

                    2.  Add softened butter to sugar and stir until well mixed.

                    3.  Add salt and vanilla.

                    4.  Add milk a little at a time stirring until it is a smooth dough.

                    5.  On wax paper with a little confectioners sugar to prevent sticking, pat dough

                       out to a 1/4 inch thick square.

                    6.  Spread peanut butter.

                    7.  Roll dough into a log and then slice it into 1/2 inch thick pieces.

                    8.  The candy will show a spiral of peanut butter on the cut edge.

                    9.  This can be made quickly when you need something sweet.
