                                                     Chuck Roast




                                           One chuck roast about 2‐1/2 pounds

                                         5 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks.

                                           One onion peeled and sliced in half

                                    1/2 to 3/4 pound of small carrots that are peeled

                                                 Salt and pepper to taste




                           1.  Use roasting pan at least the size of a 9 x 13” cake pan.

                           2.  Brown roast in skillet with a little oil on both sides.

                           3.  Put chuck roast in center of pan.

                           4.  Arrange the potatoes and carrots in the pan around the roast.

                           5.  Add the two pieces of onion, one on each end of pan.

                           6.  Salt and pepper it to taste, making sure you salted the meat

                              and potatoes good.

                           7.  Add about 3 cups of water in the pan or have water half way
                              up in the pan.

                           8.  Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 5 hours.

                           9.  Delicious!
