                                •  Deputy   Vice-Chancellor   (Research   and

                                  Management   should   be   made   permanent
                                  members  of  the  promotion  and  the  annual  Registrar, Research & Innovation
                                  performance  committee  at  the  University  level  to  Management Centre, Institute of
                                  align   the   promotion   process   and   annual Quality Management and Schools
                                  performance with the strategic plan KPIs.
                                •  Deans  and  Directors  of  Centres  of  Excellence
                                  performance  evaluation  related  to  research  and
                                  publication  come  under  Deputy  Vice-Chancellor
                                  (Research & Innovation).
                                •  Every academic staff must have collaboration with
                                  industries and universities abroad
                                •  Performance appraisal must take into account first
                                  author and co-author (publication)
                                •  Create  a  publication  team  comprising  young  and
                                  senior lecturers
                                •  Publications  in  any  field  are  accepted  for  annual
                                  performance  appraisal  but  are  not  counted  for
                                  promotion.

                             MONITORING MECHANISM
                                •  Fund allocation to Schools to be based on publication performance
                                •  The Schools’ Publication Committee must arrange meetings (four times a year) between
                                  the Dean and staff who do not have any publications.
                                •  Deputy  Vice-Chancellor  (Research  &  Innovation),  Research  &  Innovation  Management
                                  Centre,  Institute  of  Quality  Management  and  Registrar  to  arrange  meetings  for  staff
                                  without publications with the Vice-Chancellor.
