York RI stay eight points clear in the Southern Division after winning 3-2 away to
Wakefield Trinity U23, their sixth straight win. Second placed Altofts Ladies
meanwhile defeated Millmoor Juniors Ladies 5-1, Lauren Swailes netting twice along
with Megan Wilson, Nicola Smith and Nadine Bates. Hull Utd are the other team in the
division with a 100% record, making it three from three when beating Barnsley FC Ladies
7-1 thanks to Jade Newlove (2), Lauren Tate, Tonya Wild-Storr, Sam Workman, Eleanor
Robinson and Millie Sharp. Kirsty Russell scored a hat-trick, with Victoria Moore and
Melissa West adding the others, for Bradford Park Avenue in their 5-2 victory over
Hepworth Utd.
North West League
Merseyrail Ladies have gone to the top of the Premier Division after winning 4-0 away to
previous leaders Tranmere Rovers. Sophie Perry scored two of the goals, with Charlotte
Cloy and Vicky Yee adding the others to hand Merseyrail a fifth win in six matches. Crewe
Alexandra follow on in third as they defeated Mossley Hill 5-1.
Workington Reds have caught up ground on the leading teams in Division One
North with an 8-1 victory over Carlisle Utd. Jessica Reid led the scoring with a hat-trick,
Caitlin Davis weighed in with a brace, and the tally was completed by Hayley Bracken,
Hannah Green and an own goal. Lilly Clark, Caitlin Walker and Katie Green scored the goals
as Sir Tom Finney won for the first time, 3-0 against Morecambe Res.
A 4-1 victory over Altrincham keeps Warrington Wolves Foundation on top
of Division One South, two points clear of Chester FC Women who were 2-1 winners away
to Mersey Valley. Northwich Vixens meanwhile consolidated themselves in third place
by beating Alder FC Women 3-0. Curzon Ashton join Hindley Juniors Women on
six points after winning their meeting 4-2 and West Kirby won for the first time, 5-2 against
Runcorn Linnets.
South West League
Bristol Rovers have opened up a lead of three points in the Northern Division when they
beat Downend Flyers 5-1. Libby Bell, Kelly Cutler, Zoe Fielden-Stewart, Jacqueline
Maddock and Annys Turner all scored for Rovers, with Faith Flynn replying. Frampton
Rangers meanwhile went down to their first defeat of the season, beaten 2-0 by Bristol
Ladies Union who scored through Madison Price and Myca Jefferis Cuenca.
Almondsbury meanwhile claimed their first league win in some style, 7-1 against Oldland
Abbotonians. Amy Jefferies bagged a hat-trick and Kim Maggs weighed in with a brace,
Natascha Bevan and Zoe Hales rounding off the scoring with Olivia Goozee netting a
consolation. The Weston derby meanwhile ended in an exciting 3-3 draw, Natasha Crew
scoring twice and Emily Stephens the other for Weston-super-Mare, whilst Weston
Mendip netted through Michelle Munro (2) and Charlotte Suktem.
There was a change of leadership in the Eastern Division with Swindon Town
Development taking over at the top following their 6-3 victory over Frome Town. Amelia
Dudding was on target four times for Swindon along with Kathryn Bach and Natalie
Goodright, whilst Frome's replies came from Koran Thorner-Atkinson (2) and Millie Light.
Swindon lead by two points from Keynsham Town Res who drew 2-2 with Paulton
Rovers. Alex Gwyther and Martha Slocombe were the markswomen for Paulton, whilst
Keynsham's scorers were Hannah Sims and Vicky Vipond.
The top of the table clash in the Western Division went the way of Plymouth
Argyle U23, who defeated Liskeard Athletic 5-0 to replace them as leaders. Wensday
Wise and Sophie Buchanan each bagged braces for Argyle, with Summer Bell adding the
other. Eve-Charlotte Moore, Beth Prouse and Sasha Sparkes all scored for Helston Athletic
