Huddersfield Town meanwhile moved up to third, thanks to a 3-1 win away to
West Bromwich Albion, bringing a halt to the home side's recent improved form. Laura
Elford was on target twice for Town along with Serena Fletcher, whilst Albion's consolation
came from Shannon Stamps.
Middlesbrough claimed an important 2-1 victory at Loughborough
Lightning, which takes them out of the bottom two places. Armani Maxwell and Rebecca
Olley scored the goals for 'Boro, whilst Loughborough's reply came via an own goal.
Southern Premier Division
With Southampton FC Women not having a game on Sunday, Ipswich Town took the
opportunity to regain the leadership with a 3-0 victory over Milton Keynes Dons. Zoe
Barratt was on target twice for Ipswich, with Lucy O'Brien adding the other.
Bridgwater Utd's first match under the interim management of Jamie Harris
ended in a fine 2-0 win away to Portsmouth. Poppy Wilson gave Bridgwater the lead on the
stroke of half time, with Meesha Dudley-Jones adding the other goal midway through the
second half.
Crawley Wasps moved back up the table following their 5-0 victory against
Chichester & Selsey. Ciara Boyland netted two of the goals and she was joined on the
scoresheet by Naomi Cole, Imogen Lancaster and Emma Plewa.
London Bees are in mid-table after halting the recent fine form of Gillingham
by beating them 4-0. The Bees led at half time through a goal from Hannah Porter who added
a second just before the hour mark, Jo Wilson then made it three and Courtnay Ward-
Chambers rounded off the scoring late on.
Keynsham Town meanwhile picked up three crucial points from a 1-0 success
away to Hounslow Women. Kerry Bartlett gave her side an important result when she
scored a late winning goal.
Division One North
Only one match was played in the division on Sunday but it did not lack for goals, as leaders
Leeds Utd shared a 5-5 draw with Durham Cestria. Leeds raced into a three-goal lead in
the first half thanks to Rebecca Hunt, Abbie Brown and Olivia Smart and after Jordan
Atkinson had pulled one back for Durham, Laura Bartup restored the three-goal advantage
before half time. Atkinson scored again after the break but after Bartup had netted her
second for Leeds, the Wildcats staged a fight back to peg them back. Ellen Turnbull netted
twice, either side of a hat-trick goal from Atkinson, to give Durham what had seemed an
unlikely point at one stage.
Division One Midlands
Lincoln City increased their lead at the top to five points after they defeated Holwell
Sports 3-1. Leah Hardy netted two second half goals for the Lady Imps and Jeorgia Carr was
also on target, with Katie Lowder replying.
Doncaster Rovers Belles kept themselves in touch with the leading sides by
beating Leek Town 5-0, a result which takes them into third place. Jessica Andrew netted
two of the goals for the Belles and she was joined on the scoresheet by Charlotte Dinsdale,
Nadia Khan and Jasmine Saxton.
Bedworth Utd meanwhile celebrated their first league victory of the season,
running out 4-1 winners away to Burton Albion. Sophie Wilson spearheaded the win for
Bedworth by scoring a hat-trick and Kirsty Farnsworth was also on target, with Danielle
Oxley scoring the Lady Brewers' consolation.
Division One South East
Hashtag Utd scored eight times without reply past Harlow Town to stay three points
clear at the top of the table. Amy-Leigh Abrehart bagged a hat-trick and there were doubles
from Emma Samways and Kelly Wealthall, whilst Cerys Adams completed the tally.
