After last week’s pause, the Genero Adran Premier was back, picking up where it had left off
with four action packed games and 12 goals!
Cardiff City Women were Sunday’s big winners, slotting five without reply past
Abergavenny Women and ending the day top of the table. Danielle Green scored the opener
in the eighteenth minute and she doubled the Bluebirds’ lead on the half hour mark. The
second half started much the same, this time Danielle Broadhurst and Siobhan Walsh adding
their names to the scoresheet. Green was involved again in the final goal, which was put away
by Rhianne Oakley, to put the seal on a result which leaves the Bluebirds in top spot on goal
difference.
Swansea City also continued their winning start to the season, thanks to a 1-0 success
against Barry Town Utd. Stacey John-Davies slotted home a penalty in the sixteenth minute,
given after Monet Legall was brought down in the Barry box. This turned out to be the decisive
goal of the game and leaves Swansea in second, as one of the two teams which still sports a
100% record, while Barry slip to third.
Cardiff Met Women hosted The New Saints, the Archers picking up their first
points of the season with a 3-0 victory. Met returnee Robyn Pinder opened the scoring after just
eight minutes and she turned provider for the second, scored by Ellie Preece five minutes later.
Preece got her second of the day in the second half, just before the hour, to wrap up the victory.
Pontypridd Utd travelled to Aberystwyth Town and in a close run match, the
visitors took the lead through Olivia Francis just before half time and Anais Trinci doubled
their lead midway through the second half. Aberystwyth kept pushing and were awarded a
penalty with eleven minutes remaining,
