whilst Brentford, who drew for the fourth time this season, scored through Ellen Wardlaw and
Jodie Reid. Walton Casuals continued their improving form and are in the top half following
their 6-1 win against Victoire Ladies, in which Brooke Garcia scored a hat-trick and Tiffany
Skinner a brace, with Ellie Stalley also on target. Catherine Reeves (2), Rebecca Lovelace and
Hannah Perkins accounted for the goals as Watford Development won 4-0 away to Clapham
Utd.
In Division One South, Ashford Ladies moved themselves into second place, two
points behind leaders AFC Acorns, with a 7-1 victory over Meridian Ladies. Rebecca Wyatt
was on target twice for Ashford along with Karis Howard, Yasmin Howard, Rebecca Janes, Holly
Diamond and Ronni Jeffrey. Welling Utd went one better, winning 8-2 against Newhaven
courtesy of a Grace Laverick hat-trick, doubles from Ellie Rivers and Maddie Bone, and a Jemma
Blake goal. Erin Shelbourn and Olivia White were the markswomen for Parkwood Rangers as
they defeated Maidstone Utd 2-0.
North East League
York City got back to winning ways and Sheffield Wednesday were the team to catch the
backlash, Sophie Tinson running riot in front of goal by scoring eight times. Rebecca Fevers, Holly
Findlay, Eleanor Hall, Abby Parkin, Milly Ash and Alice Hughes also found the net for York who
stay five points clear at the top from Redcar Town, 5-1 victors over Wallsend Boys Club. Jess
Round hit a hat-trick for Redcar whose other scorers were Mary Corbyn and Rebecca Hanratty.
Ossett Utd move into the top four after beating Sunderland West End 4-0, courtesy of a goal
apiece from Danielle Sidebottom, Jordan Cheetham, Debbie Hastings and Emily Senior.
With Blyth Town not having a game, the two teams immediately below them at the
start of the day met each other and it was Boro Rangers who took over the leadership of the
division with a 3-2 victory over Spennymoor Town. Jade Danks netted twice for Boro and
Rachel Jackson added the other, whilst Spennymoor replied through Leah Curry and Autumn
Colledge. Chester-le-Street Utd are in second following their 8-1 win against Norton &
Stockton Ancients Res, Sarah Hutchieson bagged a brace, with the others coming from Jade
Fenton, Emma Hewett, Jamie Sugden, Holly Doogan, Neve Jackson and Zoe Barber. Samantha
Deverdics, Sarah McKillen and Catherine Shields all scored twice for Wallsend BC Res in their
eleven-goal victory over Prudhoe Town, whilst Abbie Young, Michaela Sewell, Abbie Bolam,
Hannah Gosnold and Rachel Maddison contributed a goal apiece. Abigail Phipps (2), Hannah
Dixon and Jessica Cook gave Washington Association a 4-3 win away to Bishop Auckland
and West Allotment Celtic beat Guisborough Town 5-2 with goals from Megan Hindmarsh
(2), Faye Jardine (2) and Kennedi Baxter.
In the Southern Division, Wakefield Trinity U23 moved away from the bottom places
when beating Bradford Park Avenue 5-3. Orlane N'Cho netted twice along with Julia Woods,
Nicole Moffatt and Danielle Shepherd. Sarah Lawn hit a hat-trick for Farsley Celtic Juniors as
they shared a 3-3 draw with Millmoor Juniors Ladies, who scored through an Abby Watkinson
double and Delia Hurdiss.
North West League
The only match to be played in the Premier Division was a top of the table clash and it was
Merseyrail Ladies who emerged as 3-1 winners over Tranmere Rovers, opening up a lead of
five points in the process. Charlotte Cloy, Ellise Newby and a Chelcee Grimes penalty gave
Merseyrail the victory.
Blackpool have made a swift return to the top of Division One North after winning 4-1
away to Accrington Stanley. Aimee Shaw was on target twice for Blackpool along with Maisie
Rogers and Cloe Warbrick. Chorley Women Development meanwhile climbed into the top
three on the back of a 3-2 victory at Workington Reds. Carlisle Utd celebrated their first
victory and points of the season when they beat Morecambe Res 1-0.
Division One South also saw a top of the table clash, with Chester FC Women opening
up a lead of three points after defeating Warrington Wolves Foundation 2-0. Northwich
Vixens were beaten for the first time, 3-0 by Curzon Ashton who stay in touch with the leading
sides. Hindley Juniors scored six times without reply past Runcorn Linnets to move into
fifth, just ahead of Alder FC Women who won 2-1 against Didsbury Ladies. Wythenshawe
Amateurs meanwhile notched up their first league victory of the season, 4-0 away to West
