following a 1-1 draw. Lauren Evison scored for Sheffield who are now at home to Huddersfield
Town. The highest return of the day came from Huddersfield at home to Sir Tom Finney, who
play three tiers below them. Lucy Sowerby netted five of the goals and Paige Crossman
contributed a further four, whilst Brooke Marsden bagged a hat-trick. Serena Fletcher (2), Ria
Montgomery (2), Zoe Laughton, Katie Stanley, Kayley Hird and Alice Linsell weighed in with the
other goals for Town.
Bianca Owens hit a hat-trick and Sophie Tierney was also on target as Norton &
Stockton Ancients won 4-1 away to South Shields. Norton will now be up against fellow
Division One North side Leeds Utd who defeated Hartlepool Utd 4-0, courtesy of Laura
Bartup, Abbie Brown, Paige Williams and an own goal.
Ellie Tanser netted for Hull City in their 1-0 victory away to Blackburn
Community SC. Hull will have a home tie against Liverpool Feds who were 2-0 winners
over Fleetwood Town Wrens thanks to Paige Cole and Ellie Stewart.
Sophie John scored the only goal of the game as Brighouse Town won 1-0 away to
FC United of Manchester. Brighouse will be at home in the next round to Farsley Celtic,
the North East League side notching up a 2-0 victory over Mossley Hill thanks to second half
goals from Hannah Brierley and Charlotte Sales.
Fylde Women safely negotiated their trip away to Wakefield Trinity with a 4-1
win. Faye McCoy scored twice, including a late penalty, along with Laura Merrin and Jodie
Mortimer, whilst Wakefield, who gave a good account of themselves on the day, netted a
consolation through Neve Renwick. The Coasters have landed a home draw against Burnley
FC Women, who defeated Durham Cestria 2-0 with goals from Katie Thomas and Courtney
Willis.
Stoke City progressed against a valiant Doncaster Rovers Belles side, beating
them 5-3. Rebecca Knight scored a hat-trick for Stoke along with Nicola Hudson and an own
goal, whilst the Belles' replies came from Hannah McWilliams, Jasmine Saxton and Phoebe
Sneddon. Stoke will be at home again to Norwich City, who won 2-0 away to Wymondham
Town with goals from Kate Parsons and Natasha Snelling.
Stevenage Women managed to negotiate their trip to Herts Vipers Women and
it needed extra time before they emerged as 6-3 winners. Holly Greenwood and Paige Pryor each
scored twice for Stevenage, with Ronni Harrison and Nicole Emmings adding the others to seal
a meeting with Loughborough Lightning who made it safely through a tricky away tie at
Solihull Moors with a 3-0 victory. Nicola Russell was on target twice for Loughborough,
whose other goal came via a late Emelia Wilson penalty.
West Bromwich Albion ensured that there were no surprises on their trip to Crewe
Alexandra, running out 5-0 winners. Leigh Dugmore led the scoring for Albion with a hat-
trick, whilst Jannelle Straker added the other two goals. Albion now take on East Midlands
League opposition in the form of Lincoln Utd, they had a good away win themselves, 4-0
against Shifnal Town with goals from Lauren Churcher, Demi Barai, Lucy Farrow and Abbie
Murrell.
Amber Hughes led the scoring with a four-goal haul as Wolverhampton
Wanderers triumphed 7-1 away to Sporting Khalsa. Khalsa did actually take an early lead
through Megan Cann before Hughes inflicted the majority of the damage, with Tammi George
adding two and Anna Price netting the other. Wolves have landed a home tie in the Second
Round against Nottingham Forest, 4-0 winners over Lichfield City thanks to a goal apiece
from Naomi Powell, Rosie Axten, Mai Moncaster and Rebecca Anderson.
Leafield Athletic marched into the next round on the back of a 4-0 victory at AFC
Telford Utd. Michelle McCormack gave Leafield the lead from the penalty spot after the hour,
before Daisy-Mai Clements netted a brace and Katie Johnson added the other. Leafield now host
Lincoln City who also won 4-0 against Burton Albion, Leah Hardy scoring twice with
Jeorgia Carr and Lauryn Wilcock joining her on the scoresheet.
Melanie Hall bagged a four-goal haul whilst Alice Curr hit a hat-trick as Queen's Park
Rangers beat Bromley FC Ladies 11-0. Brogan Moore (2), Vicky Grieve and Ellie Searle
