Man United duo back for qualifiers

After missing the memorable last gasp victory over Hungary, Manchester United pair Martha
Thomas and Kirsty Smith have returned from injury for Scotland’s two matches against
Ukraine and Spain.
Scotland currently lie joint top of the table with Spain on nine points. Ukraine have
played one game less and have three points thus far.
The squad has a consistent feel to it with Rachel Corsie again skippering the side
following her dramatic winner against Hungary last month.
Christie Murray is also included, after battling back from a recent injury. This is the
first time the Birmingham City player will link up again with Pedro Martinez Losa having
worked under him at Arsenal previously.
Scotland play the first of the double header against Ukraine on Friday 26th November
and will make their return to Hampden Park, having played their previous home match, the
friendly against Sweden, at St Mirren Stadium. The match kicks off at 7.35pm and tickets are
available via the Scottish FA website.
The squad then travel over to Spain, the home country of Pedro Martinez Losa, for the
second match and what may well be a crucial match to decide the eventual outcome of the
group. The game takes place on Tuesday 30 November at the Estadio de La Cartuja, with an
8pm kick off.
