EB: I think it’s possible for any team to change the table, as shown in the Premier League,
anything is possible, you can go from the relegation zone to mid-table in a couple of games this
early on in the season, I think it’ll be interesting to see how the table lies at the end of the season.

Lucy Ashworth-Clifford and Liz Anderson have collected the October Scottish Women’s Premier
League (SWPL) Player of the Month awards.
Ashworth-Clifford has played in every SWPL and Sky Sports Cup game since signing for
Celtic in June. The left sided player has been predominately deployed as a wing back for the club,
boasting impressive stats.
In October alone she scored three goals and provided two
assists in five games. This included scoring the opening two goals
against Glasgow Women and assisting the opener in their match
against Dundee United after a driving run inside her own half.
Overall, she leads the SWPL with the highest number of assists,
crosses per game, dribbles per game, progressive runs per game, and
is second behind team mate Jacynta for key passes.
In SWPL 2, October saw East Fife go unbeaten as they looked
to climb out of the relegation zone. Liz Anderson, player and coach
at East Fife, played the full 90 minutes in both games as they drew
1-1 against Queen’s Park and St Johnstone. (Celtic FC)
Anderson played a key role to help tighten their defence
which conceded 10 goals in three games in August. She also
scored the opening goal in their impressive 1-1 away draw to St
Johnstone.
The nominees for the October SWPL award were Leah Eddie
(Hibernian), Kirsty Howat (Rangers), and Hayley Lauder
(Glasgow City) and for the SWPL 2 award the nominees were
Georgie McTear (Gartcairn) and Beth Mowatt (Montrose).
