Newcastle Utd were also beaten for the first time, 4-3 by Hull City in a thrilling
match played in front of a crowd in excess of 2,000 at the Kingston Park Stadium. Emily Smith
scored two of the goals for Hull along with Ellie Tanser and Katie Thompson, whilst Newcastle
responded with a Kacie Elson brace and Georgia Gibson.
Norton & Stockton Ancients stay unbeaten as they drew for the third time in four
matches, sharing four goals with Chorley. Sophie Hodgson and Laura Hockaday were on
target for Norton, while Chorley netted through Jessica Gillin and Sophie Rotheram.
York City registered their first win following promotion, 4-0 against fellow newcomers
Merseyrail Ladies. Felicity Jones scored a goal in each half for York and she was joined on
the scoresheet by Alice Hughes and Teagan Sorokan.
Bradford City got off the mark as they won 3-2 away to Stockport County. Charlotte
Stuart bagged a brace and Arianne Parnham added the other goal, whilst Jess Battle netted
twice in reply for County.
In midweek, a goal from Lauren Robson gave Newcastle Utd a 1-0 victory away to
Middlesbrough.
Division One Midlands
Solihull Moors held on to the early leadership with a 2-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers
Belles, Lyndsey Ross-Baker and Becky Knight scoring the goals to hand Moors a third win in
four matches.
Solihull head a trio of clubs level on points at the top, with Stourbridge in second place
following their 2-1 success away to fellow newcomers Northampton Town. Niamh Deasy
sealed the points for the Glassgirls with a goal in each half, before Favour Omenazu pulled a
goal back for Northampton.
Peterborough Utd are the third team on nine points after they made it three wins on
the trot when beating Long Eaton Utd 5-1. Megan Lawlor was on target twice for the Posh
Women along with Kier Perkins, Niamh Connor and Cassie Steward, with Monique Price
replying.
Leafield Athletic ran out 4-1 winners away to Sheffield FC and occupy fourth place.
Chloe Shirley, Leonie Joyce, Jessica Lowe and Beth Cull all scored to give Leafield an
impressive result, whilst Sheffield's consolation came from Moriah McIntosh.
Sporting Khalsa meanwhile bounced back from defeat in midweek to beat Wem
Town 4-0. Angel Craig-Tapper gave Khalsa a ninth minute lead, before Rebecca Gill-Parsons
netted a brace after the break and Becky Hall rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot.
Lincoln City got off the mark as they defeated Leek Town 8-3. Jessica Rousseau led
the scoring for the Lady Imps with a hat-trick and Chantelle Robinson contributed a double,
whilst Millie Fugler, Lauryn Wilcock and Leah Hardy were also on target. Jade Treanor, Paris
O'Connor and Alanya Tezgel were the markswomen for Leek.
Division One South East
Hashtag Utd have taken over at the top of the table after their 4-2 victory over Actonians
Ladies. Hayley West and Brooke Cairns put the Tags two goals ahead at half time and they
went on to add further goals after the break through Kelly Wealthall and Cerys Adams, with
Maria Ledezma-Viso and Natsumi Kanno replying.
Norwich City maintained their unbeaten start although they were unable to keep hold
of their 100% record when they conceded an injury time equaliser to Joanna Butler-Williams
as they drew 2-2 with third placed London Seaward. Alice Parker and Natasha Snelling both
scored for Norwich, whilst Seaward's other goal came from Suzanne Davies.
Cambridge Utd and Queen's Park Rangers occupy the next two places after their
meeting finished in a 1-1 draw. Samantha Edgar was on target for Cambridge, whilst Rangers
netted through Emilia Parsons.
Ashford Town (Middlesex) picked up their first win in the league following
