Division One Midlands
Solihull Moors notched up a second victory in as many weeks, a 4-2 success against
Sporting Khalsa which takes them into second place in the table, seven points behind
leaders Stourbridge. Zoe Creaney, Jess Howard, Rebecca Knight and Abbie Bourton all
netted a goal apiece for Moors, whilst Khalsa's replies came from Olivia Woolston and
Beth Gallagher.
Moors' win has taken them above Lincoln City whose five match winning run was
brought to a halt as they were beaten 2-0 by improving Northampton Town. A first half
brace from Jade Bell gave Northampton a result which takes them out of the bottom two
and into mid-table.
Division One South East
Hashtag Utd's position at the top of the table has been strengthened without them
playing on Sunday, after their two nearest rivals, Norwich City and AFC Wimbledon,
battled out a 1-1 draw which leaves both teams eight points behind the Tags. Wimbledon
took the lead through Hannah Billingham during first half injury time, before Norwich hit
back after the break and Natasha Snelling earned them a share of the spoils.
The other game to be played saw fourth placed Actonians Ladies edge out
Cambridge Utd by the odd goal in seven. Natsumi Kanno, Samaira Khan, Dominika
Netschova and Sarah Coomson all scored for Actonians, whilst the U's responded through
Abbie Jackson, Sydnie Naylor and Isabella Simmons (see match report).
Division One South West
Cardiff City Ladies made a swift return to winning ways and their 6-2 victory over
Swindon Town has seen them go five points clear at the top. Cori Williams hit a hat-trick
for the South Wales side along with Grace Horrell, Libby Piggott and Chloe Lloyd, whilst
Swindon netted through a brace from Annabelle Colston.
AFC Bournemouth are back in second place but needed to come from behind in
their 3-2 win away to Maidenhead Utd. Molly Clark gave the Cherries an early lead but
Maidenhead hit back with two goals from Imogen Fisher. Clark netted her own second on
the stroke of half time and Bournemouth went on to take the points when Beth Everson
scored the winner late on.
Reserve Section round-up
Oxford Utd are through to the semi finals of the Reserves League Cup after Anais
