Division One South West
Southampton FC made it four wins out of four at the top of the table and have a lead of
three points following their 3-0 victory against Exeter City. Lucia Kendall gave the Saints a
first half lead and they went on to add further goals after the break through Rachel Panting
and an own goal.
Swindon Town have made an impressive start to the season and notched up their
third win in a row, 3-0 at Brislington, to take them level on points with second placed
Chesham Utd. Megan Attenborough put the Wiltshire side in front after six minutes and
Jessica Graham added the second after the interval, before Ellie Olds produced a neat finish
to complete the scoring.
Maidenhead Utd meanwhile claimed their first league win of the season, 2-1 away
to Cheltenham Town. Nicole Barrett and Sarah Thompson scored the goals for
Maidenhead whilst Cheltenham's consolation came from Jade Grove.
Southampton Women also won for the first time, scoring seven times without
reply past Poole Town. Sian Wylie, Philippa Holden and Meg Vella put them three ahead
going into half time and after the break, Emma-Jane May netted a second half break along
with further goals from Lucy Mear and Hannah Samuels.
Reserve Section round-up...
Liverpool Feds have moved to the top of the Northern Division following their 9-0 victory
at Barnsley. Jess Smylie and Courtney Jevons both hit hat-tricks for the Feds and they were
joined on the scoresheet by Kenzie Guido, Carina Suzete De and Lynn Nasoro. Previous
leaders Huddersfield Town were beaten 4-2 by Durham Women whose goals came
from Chloe Wymer (2), Jasmine Elliott-Wood and Anna Vince. Faye Dale bagged a brace as
Middlesbrough won 2-1 away to Leeds Utd and Stockport County complete a quartet
of teams level on points at the top after they defeated Bradford City 5-0, courtesy of an
Imogen Porteous-Williams hat-trick, Elle Turner and Megan Bradley.
Lucy Watson scored five times along with a Tamara Wilcock brace and Millie
Herbert-Clarke as Midland Division table toppers Sheffield Utd won 8-1 against Lincoln
City. Stoke City are three points behind in second place after a Manuela Delle double gave
them a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest. Orla Conlan led the scoring with a hat-trick as
Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated Sporting Khalsa 9-2, whilst Chantelle Teare,
Lauren Riley and Shelbie Cartwright each weighed in with a double. Katie Greenwood scored
the only goal of the game as Crewe Alexandra won 1-0 against Bedworth Utd and
Loughborough Foxes beat Solihull Moors 6-0.
