Herne Bay have made up ground on the top three in Division One South after they beat
Maidstone Utd 5-2. Jemma Barton scored two of the goals for Bay, with the others coming
from Rosie Hague, Gemma Shepherd and Elena Brock.
Dorking Wanderers progressed in the League Cup, thanks to a 4-0 victory over
Bexhill Utd in which Sarah Chapman (2), Xayla-Rae Alberts and Ishbel Zuurmond scored.
Hastings Utd went one better by beating Walton Casuals 5-0 with goals from Sian Heather
(2), Molly Hill (2) and Georgia Tibble. Welling Utd won 2-1 away to Brentford, whilst
Dulwich Hamlet Res won their Second Round tie 4-0 at Newhaven, thanks to a Kamilla
Hjelmsbo hat-trick and Dorian Senmani Sani.
North East League
Harrogate Town received a slight setback to their title challenge when they were held to a 3-3
draw by Hartlepool Utd. Emma Elliot netted twice and Hannah Freibach the other for
Harrogate, who remain in third place, whilst Hartlepool replied with goals from Jessica Dawson,
Lucy Stains and Atalia Robinson. Ossett Utd follow on after beating Farsley Celtic 5-0,
courtesy of a Jordan Cheetham brace, Emily Starkie, Rowan Treagus and an own goal. Charlotte
Blythe and Demi Godson scored the goals for Wakefield Trinity in their 2-2 draw against
South Shields, who responded with strikes from Caitlin Bates and Abbie Robinson.
The other action in the league took place in the Southern Division, where Farsley Celtic
Juniors moved into a mid-table position with a 5-2 victory over Wakefield Trinity U23.
Sarah Lawn (2), Shauna Hill, Charlotte Pardoe and Danielle Parker were the markswomen for
Farsley, with Danielle Shepherd and Nicole Moffatt replying.
North West League
Merseyrail Ladies continue to head the Premier Division table by five points after they won
3-2 away to Salford City Lionesses. They lead the way from Tranmere Rovers who were
2-1 winners over Mossley Hill. Crewe Alexandra meanwhile kept their hopes alive as they
narrowly beat West Didsbury & Chorlton 1-0, a result which takes them into third. At the
other end of the table, Wigan Athletic celebrated their first league victory of the season when
they won 2-0 against AFC Darwen.
Blackpool held on to top spot in Division One North by scoring eight times without reply
past Penwortham Town. Keisha Masterton hit a hat-trick, Lily Hambly added two and they
were joined on the scoresheet by Molly Kelly and Emily Cardwell. Blackpool head the table by
two points from Blackburn Community SC, 5-0 winners over Morecambe Res, with
Workington Reds a further point adrift in third after a Hayley Bracken double and two own
goals gave them a 4-2 success away to Sir Tom Finney whose replies came from Scarlett
Dawson and Caitlin Walker. Penrith AFC meanwhile kept themselves in contention, thanks to
a 6-1 victory over Accrington Stanley and Preston North End boosted their chances of
moving into the top half by beating Carlisle Utd 4-0.
In Division One South, Northwich Vixens are only two points off the pace in third place
following their 2-1 win away to Altrincham. Honours were even at Runcorn Linnets where
the home side shared a 2-2 draw with Alder FC Women.
South West League
Sherborne Town have a lead of five points in the Premier Division after they battled out a
thrilling 3-3 draw with fellow contenders Wootton Bassett Town. Libby Davies scored a
hat-trick for Wootton Bassett whilst Sherborne responded through a Gemma Mountain double
and Ali Scott-Sheppard. Torquay Utd meanwhile entered the top three as they won 10-3
against Middlezoy Rovers. Esme Kilburn-Thompson led the scoring with a hat-trick, Danni
Wyatt and Alex Sheppard each contributed doubles and there was one each from Ellie Bishop,
Beth Everson and Sasha Mole. Marine Academy Plymouth were 3-0 winners away to
Bideford, Isabel Scott netting twice and Sam Drewery adding the other.
Bristol Rovers are five points away from clinching the Northern Division title following
