FA Women’s Championship

It was a great weekend for Liverpool as they extended their lead at the top
to four points with a 3-1 win away to Sunderland on Saturday night.
Emily Scarr did give the Wearsiders a first half lead but Yana Daniels
and Leanne Kiernan turned the match around in
the ten minutes leading up to half time, and Melissa
Lawley wrapped up the win with the third goal just
       after the hour mark
London City Lionesses remain in second
place despite going down to a 2-0 defeat in their
derby match with Charlton Athletic. Mia Ross
gave the Addicks an eleventh minute lead and
Charlton secured the win after the break via a
       Harley Bennett own goal.
Crystal Palace kept up their climb in the
table and their 2-1 victory at Blackburn Rovers
sees them enter the top three. Bianca Baptiste Chloe Bull scores her second goal and Bristol City’s

success against Durham Women, who have tumbled to a third successive defeat. Rio Hardy
has been in great form for Coventry in recent weeks and she settled matters with the only goal
of the game with a powerful strike from the edge
of the area, three minutes from time.
Bristol City remain in fifth, but are now Sunderland 1 (Scarr 18)
