Norwich City got back to winning ways with a 3-0 success against Chesham
Utd, which takes them back up to fourth place. Alice Parker and Ella Gambell were both
on target for the Canaries, along with an own goal.
On Wednesday night, Norwich notched up a second win on the trot when a first half
goal from Kathryn Stanley gave them a 1-0 victory away to Cambridge City.
Division One South West
Exeter City kept up the pressure at the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over
Maidenhead Utd. Sarah Stacey netted a goal in each half to ensure that Exeter
maintained their lead of six points.
Cardiff City Ladies also won to keep up their title challenge, 1-0 against Selsey
Women. Grace Horrell settled matters with the only goal of the game, twenty minutes
from time.
Southampton Women kept their chances alive of a top three place by running
out 5-1 winners over Swindon Town. Shannon Albuery led the scoring for the Sirens
with a hat-trick and she was joined on the scoresheet by Jasmin Nassar and Shannon
Sievwright, whilst Swindon's consolation came from Helena Diaz-Butcher.
One match was played in the division in midweek, third placed Moneyfields
sharing a goalless draw with mid-table Selsey Women.
Reserve Section round-up
Northern Division leaders Durham Cestria went down to only their second defeat of the
season, beaten 2-1 by Middlesbrough. Emilie Onions and Lucy Watson were on target
for 'Boro, with Devyn Wilson replying. Newcastle Utd moved up into second place, nine
points behind the Wildcats, by scoring seven times without reply past Leeds Utd,
Charlyann Pizzarello hitting a hat-trick and Jasmine McQuade contributing a double with
Olivia Watt and Rebecca Ferguson also on target. Valeria Martin and Niamh Donlon
netted the goals as Huddersfield Town won 2-1 away to Hull City, whose reply came
from Lucy Davis.
Derby County held on to the leadership of the Midland Division, thanks to an
eight-goal blast against Long Eaton Utd. Laura Monk led the scoring with a hat-trick,
Ruby Barnes and Iesha Rollins weighed in with braces and Eleanor Humphrey was also
on target. Second placed Nottingham Forest stay hard on their heels after Summa
Betts and Isabella Hodson gave them a 2-0 victory over Stoke City. Rameyah
