the scraped sides but M says they never even looked at it. They
just asked if it was OK and she told them it was. She didn’t
mention the burning smell that we had sometimes noticed
going up hills or the fact that the windshield wiper on the
passenger side didn’t work well and had been put back together
by my own hands when it fell apart during the first rain.
It got us there and back so we are happy. We check in and once
again our seat assignments are messed up. We get new ones
with an isle for me and a window for M and check our bags.
We fill out customs cards and stand in line for over 30 minutes
to get our Value Added Tax (VAT) back. I got $6 and M got
$10 (the painting
she bought will
have to have the
form mailed to
the shop.) She
isn’t happy about
that but gets her
form stamped
and will send it
to them. Then
we stand in
another line
(shorter and
faster ) to turn our Irish pounds in for dollars.
We attempt to find our gate in the mess of confusing signs. We
walk a long way the wrong direction before figuring it out and
going back. We get our passports stamped at the customs desk
and board the plane. I got into Ireland with my signature
